Reframing the narrative: An analysis of media, text and film
This resource was developed for the Victorian Association for the Teaching of English’s (VATE) inaugural issue of their ‘Middle Ground: Intercultural Connections’ magazine. This unit of work, designed for Years 7-10 students explores narrative influence in media, text and film, inviting students to critically analyse visual and written examples to unpack the ways that language and image can shift perspectives, attitudes and the representation of individuals and community groups. Curriculum links are outlined explicitly in the resource.
